Up to Seven Inches of Snow on the Way

The greater Asbury Park area could get up to seven inches of snow today as the second nor'easter  in a week rolls up the coast. The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a Winter Storm Warning for until 7pm.    A mix of rain and snow is expected to change to all snow around 3pm, with daytime accumulations of up to 4 inches and another 3 inches possible this evening, the NWS said. Temps will range from a daytime high of 36F to nighttime low of 21F. In brief: Today could be a snow day. Or a rain day. Or a snow-AND-rain day. Keep the shovel and ice-melt near the door, along with boots, scarf, and hand-warmers. (Image: Screengrab of NWS radar shows precipitation reaching southern Monmouth County shortly after 7 am.
