With Covid Emergency Lifted, Summer as Usual Begins To Emerge

 

It's summer as usual at the Jersey Shore a day after New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy signed an executive order ending the COVID-19 public health emergency in place since March 9, 2020. This was the scene in Ocean Grove this morning as crowds, some still wearing face masks, flocked to the annual Spring Giant Flea Market, which continues until 4 p.m. Meanwhile, beachgoers found their place in the sun on Asbury Park's beach (below). Temperatures are expected to reach 90 inland and the low 80s along the coast.
