| Sunflowers might not know the first thing about heat indices, but they sure do feel the heat. These sunflowers in a private garden in Ocean Grove were all wrung out Wednesday afternoon, when the combined heat and humidity produced a heat index of 104. The National Weather Service expects thunderstorms late Thursday and into Friday will bring cooler temperatures into the region. |
