The Manasquan Police Department hopes to reduce the speed limit on six local roads from 30 miles per hour to 25.
In a notice posted on the borough's web site, officials identified the roads as all of North Main Street; Main Street from 100 feet west of the center of South Street to North Main Street; all of Brielle Road; East Main Street from Wyckoff Avenue east to First Avenue; Stockton Lake Boulevard from Highway 71 to North McClellan Avenue; all of Third Avenue.
The speed limit will remain as is on county and state roadways such as Highway 71, officials said.
