Manasquan Looking To Reduce Speed Limit on Local Roads

The Manasquan Police Department hopes to reduce the speed limit on six local roads from 30 miles per hour to 25.

In a notice posted on the borough's web site, officials identified the roads as all of North Main Street; Main Street from 100 feet west of the center of South Street to North Main Street; all of Brielle Road; East Main Street from Wyckoff Avenue east to First Avenue; Stockton Lake Boulevard from Highway 71 to North McClellan Avenue; all of Third Avenue.

The speed limit will remain as is on county and state roadways such as Highway 71, officials said.
