Artists have been drawn to fresh, expansive surfaces since the days of
the Lascaux cave dwellers. The present-day artist who seized upon
opportunities presented by curb and concrete work along
Central Avenue in Ocean Grove was no different. Like the Lascaux
artists, the unknown portraitist left the works unsigned.
