If you live in Sea Girt, and you're thinking of renting out all or part of your residential property in the borough, you need a landlord leasing license and a rental certificate of occupancy (CO), according to the borough code.
The application for the license is available on the borough's web site, seagirtboro.com. Click on the "Forms and Documents" tab in the left hand column, and then on the "Landlord Leasing" tab on the Forms and Documents page.
The license is required whether the property is furnished or unfurnished.
Fees are required, too. According to the application, the license costs $250 for the season, and the CO costs $100 for each rental. Also, a fee of $25 is required for each change of tenant and CO.
