Hurricane Maria continues to stir up rough surf and rip currents along the Jersey Shore despite weakening and being downgraded to a tropical storm. The National Weather Service (NWS) says the risk of potentially deadly rip currents will remain high until tomorrow evening. Wave height will range from 5 feet to 7 feet.
The threat for dangerous rip currents will likely remain high for much of the week, the NWS said in an early-morning rip current statement.
