Clear skies and a high tanning index attracted visitors to area beaches like this one in Ocean Grove despite the high risk of rip currents. According to reports out of Point Pleasant Beach in northern Ocean County, a woman swimming on an unguarded beach after midnight Sunday morning went missing after possibly encountering a rip current.
