Desert Dust To Color Morning, Evening Skies

Dust from a sand storm in the Sahara desert could produce especially colorful sunsets and sunrises this week, according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). The plume can be seen this June 17 image from NOAA's National Environmental Satellite, Data, and Information Services (NESDIS). The dust is expected to reach the southeast first, then spread out.
