Walk, Don't Ride

A sign in the middle of Cookman Avenue in Asbury Park reminds people riding bikes, skateboards , and scooters to "walk their wheels" and not ride on the sidewalks in  the pedestrian zone. Cookman and Mattison avenues were closed to vehicular traffic this weekend so restaurants could offer outside seating with  social distancing between tables. Public health officials say the best way to stop the COVID-19 coronavirus from spreading is through the combination of social distancing and the use of face coverings in public. Monmouth County officials on Sunday announced 10 new COVID-19 cases in the county, bringing the county total to 9,084. No new cases were reported in Asbury Park.
