The National Weather Service's extended forecast for the city includes lake-effect snow showers through Thursday, February 2. (Yep, Groundhog Day). Here's what the PA Emergency Management Agency says you should do if you're caught in a snow squall on a highway:
- Take the next exit.
- Don't slam on your brakes.
- Slow down gradually.
- Turn on headlights and 4-ways.
- Focus on staying in your lane.
- Give cars ahead of you more space.
