There is a risk of severe thunderstorms late this afternoon into this evening as a line of severe thunderstorms moves eastward across the forecast area, the National Weather Service in Cleveland said. The main hazard will be damaging wind gusts. A tornado is possible. The greatest threat of severe weather will come between 4 p.m. and 8 p.m., with the greatest risk for Erie coming between 8 p.m. and 10 p.m., the NWS said. No alerts or advisories for severe weather have been issued as of this writing.
