Improvements to part of State Highway 33 in Neptune Township are expected to begin Monday, March 19, officials said. The targeted area is from Fortunato Place to School House Road.
Work will include improvements to the street signals, sidewalk and concrete curb, and handicap ramps. Also, the median will be reconstructed, and a crash cushion will be installed, according to information from the state department of transportation, which is responsible for the road.
The project is expected to last from March 19 to December 24 and take place between 7 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., and between 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.
Officials urge drivers to plan extra drive time for detours or delays.
