When New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy declared a state of emergency for all of the state's 21 counties hours before the second nor'easter in two weeks slammed the region, coastal Monmouth county was still excluded from winter weather watches and advisories.

The area is now under a winter weather advisory until 3 a.m. Thursday, March 8, with total snow accumulation of possibly one inch, according to the National Weather Service.
Meanwhile, tidal flooding is possible at times of high tide. A coastal flood watch is in effect until 6 this evening.
Winds will pick up throughout the day, with gusts reaching 39 mph tonight.
