The National Weather Service (NWS) has dropped the blizzard warning originally posted for 8 last night until 6 this evening. The region is now under a winter storm warning until 6 p.m.
A coastal flood warning is in effect until 3 this afternoon.
Although observers have reported seeing rain, the NWS on the forecast page for the Belmar-Farmingdale area says "unknown precip" and "fog/mist/windy."
A northeast wind of 30 to 36 miles per hour is expected to shift north this afternoon. Gusts could reach 55 miles per hour.
