The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a winter storm watch for most of the state, including coastal Monmouth County.
Periodic, sometimes heavy snow is predicted for between 8 p.m. Monday until 8 a.m. Wednesday.
But how much snow is uncertain.
The NWS at 5 a.m. issued graphics that say coastal Monmouth County should expect at least 0 inches as well as the potential for up to 15 inches.
Yet another NWS graphic issued at the same time indicates the coast will "most likely" see between 8 and 12 inches of snow.
The graphics are at www(dot)weather(dot)gov.media/phi/current_briefing(dot)pdf.
NWS scheduled the next update for 5 p.m.
