Heavy rain is expected to fall throughout the day and night, leaving amounts of between two and three inches, the National Weather Service (NWS) in Mount Holly said.
A coastal flood advisory will start at 10 tonight and last until 4 in the morning.
A 1.5-foot storm surge can cause minor flooding at high tide, the NWS said. Some roads along the coast may be closed.
