Monmouth County's emergency management and medical services coordinators are among entities recognized by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) for emergency preparedness.
Monmouth County OEM-EMS Coordinators received honorable mention for Outstanding Inclusive Initiatives in Emergency Management as part of the 2016 FEMA Individual and Community Preparedness Awards.
The awards are given for outstanding efforts by individuals, programs and organizations to prepare their communities for emergencies, FEMA said in a statement.
