The region will be under a winter storm watch from 8 tonight until 6 p.m. tomorrow.
The National Weather Service at this time is calling for up to 12 inches of snow along most of coastal Monmouth County, with most of it falling throughout the day Tuesday.
Blizzard conditions are possible in sustained winds of up to 36 miles per hour and gusts of up to 50 miles per hour. A high wind watch will be in effect Tuesday from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
There could also be coastal flooding at times of high tide. A coastal flood watch will be in effect Tuesday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
