Roads in the Gables area of Neptune Township will be milled and paved on or about Monday, April 3.
The affected roads are Fulham Place between Wakefield Road and Oxford Way; Harrow Court between Wakefield Road and Oxford Way; Fenchurch Way between Wakefield Road and Oxford Way; Berkeley Lane between Fulham Place and Eton Way, and Edgeware Place beween Berkeley Lane and Oxford Way.
In an email to residents, the township engineering department cautioned against liquid tar that will be placed on the roadway as part of the paving process.
"The material is very sticky; if you drive or walk on the tar, you will leave traces," the department said in the email.
The department also advised residents to park their vehicles on side streets between 6 a.m and 5 p.m. on days their road is paved.
