Spring is a time of renewal, and the Church of St. Elizabeth of Hungary, Avon, is asking its altar servers to renew their skills before Holy Week and Easter Sunday.
All the servers have been asked to take at least one of two refresher courses "in order to brush up on serving during Holy Mass as well as in preparation for the upcoming sacred liturgies," the parish administration said in its Sunday, March 26, bulletin, which is online at the church's web site, stelizabethavon(dot)com.
The servers can choose between the session scheduled for 5 p.m. on Tuesday, April 4, or the session slated for 6 p.m. on Wednesday, April 5. Each session is expected to run one hour. Servers have the option of attending both classes.
Servers who need more information or who have questions are asked to email the parish office, stelizabeth@verizon(dot)net or to call Victor Pidermann at the rectory, 732-774-4089, ext. 201.
