The Algonquin Arts Theatre will hold auditions for The Fantasticks on Tuesday, June 20, and Wednesday, June 21, from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the theater, 173 Main Street, Manasquan.
All roles are open.
For roles other than "Henry" and "Mortimer," prepare a brief, appropriate song from standard musical theater, not pop or rock. Bring sheet music in the correct key. An accompanist will be provided but will not transpose.
If you're auditioning for the role of Henry, prepare a brief comedic monologue.
If you're a Mortimer hopeful, prepare a short "death" pantomime of your own creation.
Please bring a picture and a resume, stapled back to back.
Performance dates are Friday and Saturday, Aug. 11 and 12, at 8 p.m.; Sunday, Aug. 13, at 3 p.m.; Friday and Saturday, Aug. 18 and 19, at 8 p.m.; Sunday, Aug. 20, at 3 p.m.
