Bright sunshine, a high tanning index, and temperatures in the 80s brought visitors to the Ocean Grove beach and boardwalk this afternoon. This was the scene around the beach office at Embury Avenue. Nearby, parking spaces around Fletcher Lake and Broadway were full. The beach will be open daily starting Saturday, June 17 until Sept. 4. Hours are 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, and noon to 5:30 p.m. on Sunday. Badges are required on the beach during those hours. Walking the boardwalk is free. Bicycles are prohibited between 10 a.m. and 3 a.m.
